Allure Rejuvenation Center — At the Center of Art, Science & Medicine
“Aging is what changes the way we look," said Sheri Golden, a certified aesthetic physician assistant (PA-C) and owner and CEO of Allure Rejuvenation Center, a professional medical practice in Shadelands that offers treatments aimed at enhancing and improving a person's physical appearance — face, skin, and body — through non-surgical, minimally invasive medical methods. "I hear people say, ‘I don’t want to look tired all the time.’ ‘I want to look refreshed and rejuvenated.’ ‘I just don’t like these wrinkles.’ So if we can refresh and hold onto that youthful glow and healthier weight a little bit longer, we feel better — and we feel more confident in our work, and in our play, and in our relationships.”
Celebrating five years in Shadelands this June 2025, Allure was developed to be an overall wellness center offering anti-aging and wellness procedures and treatments performed by medical professionals.
Treatments for both men and women include dermal fillers, Botox, and Sculptra (injectables to restore volume loss); Morpheus8 (microneedling to promote collagen production); CoolSculpting (to eliminate stubborn body fat); and laser hair and vein removal, among others. And, Allure is now offering bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to restore balance lost due to aging and to help people feel their best. All services can be found on Allure’s website. And because she is a certified aesthetic physician assistant, Sheri can diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications. As many of the treatments are by prescription only, her degrees and certifications are key.
Sheri’s medical experience began in New York City at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where she worked with surgical oncologists before moving into cosmetic and general dermatology and focusing on non-surgical procedures. She fell in love with aesthetic medicine while working at the prestigious New York Laser and Skin Care in New York City. That’s when she found her true passion: helping to instill confidence in patients. After 20 years as a PA working in a variety of medical practices, Sheri finds herself exactly where she wants to be.
Joining Sheri at Allure is Heather Cordle, a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) and aesthetic nurse practitioner who performs treatments and procedures along with Sheri. At the front desk is receptionist Kimberly Daley, and handling the day-to-day is practice manager Ansally Ajirogi. This is a standalone practice. Though located on BASS Medical Group property at 2637 Shadelands Drive, Allure does not fall under the BASS umbrella.
When Sheri moved her practice from downtown Walnut Creek to Shadelands, she had the opportunity to design the facility and build out the offices and treatment rooms just as she wanted them to look and feel — bright and welcoming, with a professional medical vibe, without feeling cold and impersonal. There’s even a hint of spa so people feel welcome, comfortable, and relaxed — and yes, even pampered.
Thanks to large plate glass windows and breezy, engaging decor, the lobby and outer office are brightly lit and inviting — professional, without being intimidating. Treatments are performed in one of four treatment rooms, including one specifically designed for Morpheus8 radio frequency and micro-needling for collagen production, and one designed for CoolSculpting for localized fat reduction through controlled freezing.
“We lose volume everywhere as we age. And the mouth and eyes are most prominent — virtually the first things people see about us. The mouth is a muscle, and it shrinks as we age. Lip fillers can restore plumpness, and that’s often a gateway to other skin care treatments, such as fillers for cheeks, chin, and temples. Sculptra, on the other hand, is an injectable that stimulates production of our own collagen, which creates volume and plumpness in the face,” said Sheri. “More and more, we’re seeing younger generations coming in to be proactive and preventative because we have these resources today and they know they can retain and restore youthful, healthy qualities in safe, non-surgical ways.”
Sheri and her team offer a complementary consultation, doing a full facial assessment with facial balancing the goal — addressing the face as a whole, rather than working with just parts of the face. Hers is a collaborative approach, listening to the patient’s desires and expectations, and educating patients about the team’s professional advice and capabilities.
“Our mindset is natural — we always go for natural results,” said Sheri. “We intend for patients to look refreshed and rejuvenated, but not obvious about it. Nothing we do should change the way a patient looks. It should enhance what they already have. That’s the trend, and that’s actually what we’ve been doing ever since we opened our doors ten years ago. We’re also artists and our patients are our canvases, and we want their faces and skin and bodies to look and feel natural. Not, ‘Wow, you had major work done,’ but rather, ‘Gee, you look great — looks like you got a great night’s rest.’”
