Mitchell Drive Park & Ride: Park the Car, Hop the Bus, and Avoid the Traffic, Thanks to County Connection
Did you know that County Connection has a designated Park & Ride lot in Shadelands? It does, and it’s located on the north side of Mitchell Drive, between Springfield Montessori School and Contra Costa School of Performing Arts. Park & Ride is free for all-day parking and convenient for commuters and bus system riders by providing a parking lot near County Connection bus stops in Shadelands.
Riders park their car, then hop a bus for the rest of their commute, avoiding city and highway traffic and dealing with often scarce and expensive parking at their destination. The Mitchell Drive Park & Ride is particularly useful for commuters who live beyond a practical walking distance from a bus stop.
All bus routes can be found online at County Connection. Click on the tab titled Maps & Schedules to find all bus routes and stop locations in the service area.
There are five different bus routes in Shadelands that take riders from the Mitchell Drive Park & Ride to Walnut Creek BART, Pleasant Hill BART, or Antioch BART, with a number of stops in between and beyond.
Covered bus stops for westbound and eastbound routes are located just steps away from at the Mitchell Drive Park & Ride lot.
